Below is the supporting information we need. In many cases they won't be relevant, so just mark N/A.

We need this information even if we do things like vat bookkeeping/ vat accounting for you, or if you are giving us access to cloud data.

We do not normally need to see all your receipts, vouchers and invoices. We will let you know if we do need to see any of these.

Capital Introduced

if you have introduced private funds to your business, including you or your family lending your business money, we will need details and supporting paperwork.

Anti Money Laundering Rules require we verify the source of introductions or private loans.

Debtors - amounts owed to you

Debtors (amounts owed to you) at the year end (If you are VAT registered please indicate whether the amounts are gross or net of VAT).

Creditors - amounts owed by you

Creditors (amounts owed by you) at the year end (If you are VAT registered please indicate whether the amounts are gross or net of VAT).

Stock

Stock list/value at the year end (at lower of cost/realisable value excluding vat where registered).

Work in Progress

Work in Progress list/value at the year end (at lower of cost/realisable value excluding vat where registered).

Assets bought or sold

A list of assets bought or sold, with copy invoices to be supplied please.

If assets have been bought on Hire Purchase or Lease, a copy of the agreement is needed please. If assets have been part exchanged, full details are needed.

Motor Expenses

If motor expenses are claimed on a mileage basis rather than expenses incurred, a note of business miles for last year.

For companies, if a privately owned car is used, then motor expenses will always be on a mileage basis.

For sole traders and partnerships the position may vary, please check with us if you are unsure.

Home Office Costs / Business Use of Home

Please let us have details of Home Office / Business Use of Home to be claimed.

Business Bank Statements

If you have a Business Bank account, we will need the statements please.

They can be emailed to us mail@whitefieldtax.com; sent by post or scanned and uploaded here.

Business Bank Account Balances(Required)

Please confirm the year end bank balances on all business accounts, including deposit accounts.

Please send us a scan of the last bank statement for the year, showing the year end balance

Statements on loans and commercial mortgages

We need statements for business loans and commercial mortgages, and copies of agreements / summaries for new borrowing.

Payroll / CIS records

If you run payroll or CIS we will need the workings and/or summaries. If we provide a payroll or CIS service for you, note this here.

VAT workings

If you are VAT registered we will need the workings and/or summaries, unless they are clearly set out in the accounting system.
