NMW rates have increased from  1 October 2015:

  • the main adult rate (for workers aged 21 and over) is £6.70
  • the rate for workers aged between 18 and 20 is £5.30
  • the rate for workers aged under 18 is £3.87
  • the rate for apprentices is £3.30

From April 2016, the national living wage will be £7.20 an hour for workers aged 25

and older. The minimum wage will still apply for workers aged 24 and under.
