A friendly reminder for company directors arising from this, on two points.
First companies with a 31st March 2023 year end will normally have a deadline of 31st December 2023 to file at Companies House. A missed filing incurs a £150 penalty. If we are filing accounts for you, then you must have let us have approval of the accounts by 9am on Friday 22nd December – if you approve your accounts after that, they will not be filed until January.
Second, companies with a 31st March 2023 year end will need to pay Corporation Tax by 1st January 2024. If you are unsure about amounts or payment methods, please contact us in good time.
