Indefinite Retention

Our policy on indefinite data retention comes from experience that queries can arise many years, sometimes decades, after a transaction.  We therefore consider indefinite retention to be proportionate.  Such data is held in archive files rather than live sections of our filing, and is only accessed if required for specific purposes.
