HMRC / HMT have a consultation running on travel expenses for contract workers.
This soley relates to (a) users of Umbrella comapanies and (b) direct agency employees on so called “over arching contracts” – it does not apply to PSCs.
In respect of (a) it seems that, depsite the MSC rules, the umbrella providors are still up to their old tricks of abusing expense claim rules and misleading their customers – plus ça change.
