INCOME SPLITTING & CGT
As I’m sure you are aware, the Budget is tomorrow, Wednesday, and its eagerly awaited with respect to the final shape of the new Income Splitting regime and new Capital Gains Tax regime applying, in both cases, from 6th April 2008 onwards.
I’m writing to all our clients now to ask a favour? I’m sure there will be many queries on these topics, particularly Income Splitting, but could I please ask you to hold off from e-mailing or telephoning queries through to us until after we have published a briefing sheet – which we aim to do by close of business on Tuesday 18th March.
I hope the briefing sheets can cover many, if not most, common questions, and once they have been published we will gladly assist with specific queries.
As usual we will be sending out a brief budget summary overnight, but it will take a few days longer for full analysis.
